Summary: Brennan knows there is a world outside of his apartment, but he has been prisoner in his own home, since his abduction, unable to muster enough strength to venture outside or he would realize, not everything out there is as bad as it seems.

ica's verdict: Not for the weak-minded and faint-hearted! I've been reading this for a while now as it is updated and been debating for a long time whether to rec it because it's just so horrible. It is written very realistically and hammers home the brutality and severity of the situation in every single chapter. It teeters between bottomless despair and flickers of hope. This creates a breathless tension for the readers and leaves them completely exhausted. Stomach-churning torture and ruthless violence leave more than just a bitter aftertaste, even more so because it is described in many details. Brennan's struggles become the readers' struggles.
This I only recommend to people who are not squeamish and have been to the abyss of the internet and seen their fair share of internet depravity and mind-boggling medical conditions! 9/10

ica's verdict: How should I say? It's like a dream come true! XD Jokes aside, this is the kind of really romantic story where you basically make your own lover and he's perfect in every way you imagined. Totally not realistic but hey, sometimes you need a break from reality and indulge yourself in fluff. All in all, the plot is simple but effective. 6.5/10

ica's verdict: As my warning and the title say, it's a Stockholm syndrome story, the best I've read so far. I find the topic quite difficult to properly portray but this fic has done it so well that I, as the reader, didn't even realize how the manipulation happened. I was also surprised by the turn of events towards the end. Twisted considering the situation but not unlikely. 8/10

Summary: Tim is a 17 year old, socially and emotionally troubled, mildly autistic boy with a serious obsession. The subject of his unquenchable affection is Brandon, a 23 year old guy who used to babysit him when he was a child. He has a set of binoculars and actually goes out on stalking trips to spy on his unsuspecting victim, who has a fairly spicy lifestyle, often bringing men home for a one night stand after clubbing. Of course there comes a time when Brandon notices he’s being stalked, and he’s not happy about it.

ica's verdict: I'm not sure how to describe my feelings for this. I kinda like it, I guess? But it's also weird in some way. I do like, however, Tim's depiction. It's very spot-on and you can actually see the mild autism and social awkwardness. It's also quite interesting to watch how he starts to break out of his shell for Brandon. 7.5/10

Comment: I was at first worried that this would be an abuse/non-con kind of story but it's surprisingly good, although I don't particularly care for some of the sex. Unfortunately, towards the end when it gets interesting between two characters, the story stops and, from the looks of it, has been abandoned. A shame.

Comment: Fascinating sex practices, some of which I've heard of but not the technicalities. Very creative indeed and the author also manages to let some feelings flow into the stories which is always refreshing in these PWP stories.
